Not Just Tiredness, but Renewal — Wandering Through Low Moods and Small Joys, Relearning to Live with Lightness

Hey, how are you feeling today? I just wrapped up a day full of ups and downs — but thankfully, I ended it with a sense of calm and lightness. Last night, I had dinner late, still had energy, so I went for a run at 9 p.m. Then I showered and studied until midnight. This morning, I woke up heavy and sluggish, with no strength to start the day. I made myself a cup of honey lemon water, and only around noon did I slowly feel better again. I sat down to continue my online courses (since I’m unemployed, I want to use this time to learn new skills). I followed the Pomodoro method with YouTube as my study buddy. Just then, a friend texted me, asking if I wanted to go for a walk in the afternoon. It was her day off (not unemployment like me 😅). Honestly, I wasn’t fully recovered yet, but I still said yes. I was afraid of slipping into a mood down, so I wanted to refresh myself. And I’m so glad I did. Meeting a friend, talking, laughing, and being surrounded by nature really washed away all the fatigue. Later, I made sure to learn from yesterday: I had an earlier dinner and took a light walk instead of a heavy workout, hoping to recharge better for tomorrow. And just like that, another day passed. I checked off a few tasks on my to-do list and now I’m sitting here, reflecting. I realized that by pushing through my exhaustion, I came out fresher and lighter. Most importantly, I feel grateful to have a friend who listens, shares, and helps me restore both energy and spirit. So here’s a gentle reminder for you: whenever you feel drained, don’t keep it inside. Speak up — there will always be someone willing to listen. Or simply step outside for a walk, and you’ll see how your mood shifts. Being unemployed isn’t scary. What really matters is what we choose to do with this time. And remember: even when unemployed, stay healthy. Don’t repeat my mistake of messing up sleep and meal schedules. Sending you a little bit of my energy. Sleep well tonight 🌙✨
